ACAT Two Day Introduction to CAT September 2026

3rd September 2026 - 4th September 2026
London N1

Discover the foundations of Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT), a model that helps us make sense of recurring patterns in relationships and behaviour. Blending cognitive and relational approaches, CAT offers a practical framework for understanding ourselves and supporting change in others.

This two-day introductory course is ideal for mental health professionals and anyone interested in integrative therapeutic models. Through a blend of teaching, discussion and experiential learning, you’ll explore the key ideas, methods and skills of CAT. The tutors will guide you through the model’s historical and theoretical roots, introducing concepts such as Reciprocal Roles — a central CAT idea for mapping relational dynamics.

You’ll have the chance to apply these ideas to your own clinical work with support and feedback from experienced CAT Psychotherapists, helping you leave the training with a clear, practical understanding of the model — and perhaps a growing appetite to study CAT further.
