CAT Practitioner Training Courses Centres

Read about each CAT Practitioner training course in the options below.  You can find out about your nearest training centre and when different courses are open to application. 

We have listed the accredited courses which are currently active.  There have been previous courses held in both Scotland and in Dorset, England.  These are no longer active but if they become so again in the future, we will add details in the sections below.

Course location: Manchester (teaching days) plus two day residential in Sheffield at the end of each academic year (June).
Organisational arrangement:  Independent, accredited by ACAT. It is also approved as course centre for for NHS England funded trainees

Course location: Newcastle
Organisational arrangement:  Provided by Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne & Wear NHS Foundation Trust

Newcastle CAT Practitioner Training is hosted by Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne & Wear NHS Foundation Trust. Our course runs annually with a January start date.  For the next intake, we expect applications to open in June 2025 for a January 2026 start.  For further information please email and ask for your name to be added to the expressions of interest list.

Course location: Yeovil, Somerset
