We are pleased to begin planning the conferences and want to revitalise them as opportunities for CPD, community-building and networking. Alongside formal presentations and workshops, we hope to encourage both small- and large-group dialogue.
One day conference in London, July 2027 – date to be confirmed, likely 9th or 16th July
Residential conference, Spring/Summer 2028 – venue to be confirmed.
Dates and locations are booked in advance, to secure venues. We need to proceed now with the programme for the July 2027 date.
We are inviting expressions of interest from ACAT members to set a theme and take responsibility for the overall programme of plenary speakers and workshop events – this is usually undertaken by 2 or 3 colleagues with a shared passion for the proposed theme. The ACAT Staff team coordinates the venue, bookings and administrative aspects of the events. Caroline Greenwood Dower will be the link Trustee for the conferences.
Due to time, we are requesting that proposals for the July 2027 conference are put forward as soon as possible and no later than 20 November 2026, please. They will then be considered by the Trustees and Council of Management. We will be in touch in December regarding the residential 2028 conference.
